Sajid Khan, who was accused of actresses and starlets during the MeToo movement, faced a ban from the entertainment industry over allegations of sexual harassment. Now the filmmaker has returned to the small screen as a contestant on the ongoing controversial reality show Bigg Boss 16. However, upon his return, many of the female artists who had accused him of misconduct expressed their displeasure at his comeback, followed by the Delhi Commission of Women (DCW) also sending out a statement calling for his removal from the show. In response, the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has now sent out a response, claiming in the statement that the 2019 ban against him was lifted.

The statement further said: “Shri Sajid Khan had been cooperating with IFTDA and FWICE and was following the decision of the POSH committee. FWICE was satisfied with his behavior during the period of his ban and after the year of this sentence ended, Shri Sajid Khan’s ban was lifted by FWICE on 03/14/2019.
