Neetu Singh Kapoor is an Indian actress best known for her roles in Hindi films in the late 1960s, early 1970s and early 1980s. Singh was inducted into the Walk of Stars, an entertainment hall of fame at Bandra Bandstand in Mumbai in 2012. She worked as a child actress under the name Baby Sonia, playing the role of “Roopa” (child actress). the 1966 film Dus Lakh and dual roles in the hit film Do Kaliyan. Other notable films are “Waris”, Pavitra Paapi and others. She is best known for her roles in numerous hit films in the 1970s and 1980s. She made her adult debut as a leading actress in the 1973 film Rickshawala and appeared in 50 films from 1973 to 1983 as a leading lady. She returned to film after 26 years, appearing alongside her husband in the super hit films; romantic drama Love Aaj Kal (2009), comedy-drama Do Dooni Chaar (2010), romance Jab Tak Hai Jaan (2012) – the last of which is one of India’s top-grossing films, and comedy Besharam (2013), a box-office flop.

She began her transition to mature roles with the vigilante film Rickshawala (1973) and had her breakthrough role as a dancer with Nasir Hussain’s masala film Yaadon Ki Baaraat (1973). She rose to prominence after appearing in crime drama Deewaar (1975), thriller Khel Khel Mein (1975), musical film Kabhi Kabhie (1976), masala film Amar Akbar Anthony (1977) and fantasy film Dharam Veer (1977).
