The Heartwarming Haikyu!! latest work of art
The illustration shown below contains a flashforward that manga readers are probably familiar with. Finally, it features professional volleyball players Tobio Kageyama and Shoyo Hinata in action living their best lives.
Check it out below:
Kageyama stands at left, his hand raised to the sky, seen from behind. A gift from the Italian team Ali Roma, the setter, is wearing his number 20 jersey. Hinata, wearing his dark uniform, stands next to him. Everyone’s favorite striker, who wears the number 21 on his shirt, appears ready to line up with his fellow Asas Sao Paulo in front of goal in Brazil.
Of course, manga readers already know these performances, because Haikyuu accompanied these youngsters on their way to professional sports. We’ll just have to wait until Haikyuu’s FINAL release date in theaters to see if the anime films will cover this final arc and others. In other words, from the following year you can follow Karasuno’s special tag team!
Getting started with the anime and manga Haikyuu
The coming-of-age sports manga Haikyuu!! was created by Haruichi Furudate. Shoyo Hinata, a junior high school student, develops an interest in volleyball after watching the Karasuno High School volleyball team compete in the nationals on TV. Though Hinata is short, Hinata aspires to play volleyball like Karasuno’s skillful wing spiker “The Little Giant”, who is also of comparable height to Hinata. The difficulties in his volleyball journey come from the fact that his junior high school does not have a male volleyball team. As such, he must learn the sport from his school’s women’s volleyball team and the community volleyball team.
In high school, Kageyama and Hinata compete against each other. Hinata convinces his friends to join the roster in his senior year of junior high school so he can compete in his only volleyball competition. Unfortunately, a squad from another school with superb setter Tobio Kageyama upset the team.
However, the two end up going to Karasuno High School together, where they join the volleyball team and become a formidable setter and spiker combo. The Karasuno volleyball team’s trip to Nationals is the theme of Haikyuu!!
