Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s Brahmastra is roaring at the box office in India. After the jump on Friday 2nd and Saturday 2nd, the Ayan Mukerji film has seen a 15 percent jump on Day 10. According to initial estimates, the film has accumulated in the range of Rs. 16.25 to 17.25 million. This brings the 10 day total collection to Rs. 209-210 crores making the much needed hit film for the Hindi film industry.
The film has continued to do phenomenal business in India’s top 10 cities and to everyone’s surprise, even the crowds flocked to the film for its second weekend. The film has collected over Rs. 40 crores in its second weekend across India, indicating a strong trend at the box office. Brahmastra is running like a Hollywood movie and so weekday business will slump again.
There’s appreciation from a certain segment of the audience, which translates into kicks at the box office. Business is set to pick up again on the third weekend and that trend is keeping the film in the running for entry into the Rs. 250 crore club at the box office. Brahmastra’s deal came as a pleasant surprise, ending the box office dry spell.
Brahmastra has also given some credit to the producers of upcoming films like Vikram Vedha, Thank God and Ram Setu. With that we can say that the audience is back in the cinema halls.
