The Ayan Mukherji direction Brahmastra starring Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt hit screens yesterday. Said to be one of the biggest releases of this year, the film, which also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy with special appearances from Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, got off to a good start. As a matter of fact, Brahmastra, which went on sale nearly a week before release, saw a good flurry of ticket sales. Now, for the second day in a row, we’re hearing that the film’s business is expected to do well in the box office.
According to reports Brahmastra has seen day 2 ticket sales remain more or less stable despite the less than appreciative reviews. In fact, reports suggest so Brahmastra has exceeded the Rs. 20 kr. Gross mark alone in advance ticket sales on the second day. This coupled with the fact that most locations will see an increase in spot bookings as the evening and night shows progress, business from Brahmastra will see an increase.
Currently, trade is forecasting a good opening weekend for the collection Brahmastraand claims that business with the film will continue to grow.
