Movie buffs may be aware that cinemas have started showing legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan’s cult films again as part of his birthday celebrations. The actor turns one year older on October 11 and the Film Heritage Foundation (FHF) has decided to add something to the celebrations. According to a Pinkvilla report, FHF’s Shivendra Singh Dungarpur and filmmaker R Balki have decided to halt screenings of the Amitabh films in cinemas at exactly 24:00 so fans can sing “Happy Birthday” to the star.

FHF Founder Shivendra Singh Dungarpur said: “This is happening across the country where Mr Bachchan’s films are screened as part of our festival initiative. Meanwhile we play at Juhu PVR Amar Akbar Anthony today, and many film industry dignitaries are attending the screening where they will join us at 12 sharp to sing the “Happy Birthday” song to Mr Bachchan. This is going to be huge.”
Readers will be aware that as part of Amitabh Bachchan’s birthday celebrations, a four-day festival called Bachchan: Back To The Beginning was planned in collaboration with theaters and multiplexes, which will feature some of the superstar’s best films as well Amar Akbar Anthony, Put on among other. Also his most recent release Goodbye Starring Rashmika Mandanna there will also be a discount on ticket prices as prices are reduced to Rs. 80 on October 11th.
